At Nuestra Salud | Our Health, Inc., we believe that strong communities start with healthy people—and that health begins with connection, compassion, and collaboration. From our home base in East Tennessee to our growing partnerships in Cozumel, Mexico, we are committed to improving access to care, promoting wellness, and building lasting relationships that make a difference.
In Tennessee, we collaborated with Karns Middle School, Beaver Ridge United Methodist, Ball Camp Baptist Church, We Are The Girls, and Oak Ridge Eye Center for the Ready Set School! initiative. The program helps students and families prepare for a healthy school year by providing nutritious snacks, school supplies, and information about healthy eating habits. With the generous support of local churches, schools, and community partners, we’re creating a network of care that extends far beyond the classroom.
Our impact extends beyond Tennessee through our work in San Miguel de Cozumel, Mexico, where Nuestra Salud | Our Health partners with a coalition of physicians, nurses, pastors, and community members to strengthen local health systems and promote preventive care. From measuring blood pressure and glucose levels to offering nutrition counseling and distributing antiparasitics, these efforts bring accessible care directly to neighborhoods that need it most.
What makes this work unique is the collaboration—it’s not outside organizations “doing for,” but communities working together. Local pastors help spread awareness, physicians and nurses volunteer their expertise, and residents take an active role in shaping healthier futures for their families.
